2019 Travel Grant Recipient: Christina Weiler

Christina M. Weiler is a Teaching Assistant Professor of German and the interim German Language Program Director at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Together with two colleagues, she received a Large Course Redesign grant from the UNC Center for Faculty Excellence to create a German grammar video series. Christina completed her M.A. (Magister Artium) and a teaching degree (Erstes Staatsexamen Lehramt an Gymnasien) at the University of Freiburg, Germany, and she received her Ph.D. in Comparative Literature from Purdue University. Her research focuses on German literature, culture, and philosophy of the long eighteenth century in a comparative and interdisciplinary framework, with a special interest in environmentalism and the philosophy of the arts and senses.
