SERVICE LEARNING RESEARCH: ACHIEVEMENTS, OPPORTUNITIES AND CHALLENGES

The potential of foreign language service learning to increase students' civic engagement is especially important today. Our panel will assess the status of service learning research. We will address institutional, methodological, and practical issues affecting research and suggest future directions for research projects and pedagogical practice.
